Hennie completed her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Western Ontario after completing her Bachelor of Science with Honors at the University of British Columbia. She began her career as a physical therapist in 2010, working in a private clinic in Vancouver, where she provided physiotherapy care for individuals experiencing musculoskeletal pain and overuse injuries, as well as those recovering from surgery. She later worked at Richmond Hospital across diverse settings, including acute care, residential care, palliative care, and community health. This breadth of experience helped shape her holistic and compassionate approach to physiotherapy care.
Hennie holds acupuncture certification through Acupuncture Canada and has completed advanced training in the Gokavi Transverse Technique (GTT), a dry-needling approach used within physiotherapy practice. She completed pelvic floor physiotherapy training at BC Women’s Hospital in 2013 and has continued her professional development in women’s health through further education in mindfulness-based approaches to persistent pain, women’s cancer rehabilitation, and abdominal manual therapy.
Based on each patient’s assessment and functional goals, Hennie also integrates Pfilates and trauma-informed therapeutic yoga into individualized physiotherapy treatment plans.
